BOOK CARNIVAL
Books are man’s best friends. To encourage the habit of reading in students and to introduce them to different genres of books available, a book carnival was conducted in the school premises by Wordsmith Publication on the 4th, 5th and 6th January 2024. Students made a wish list of the books they wanted to read. A lucky draw was conducted in which names of students from class I to X were included and Ananya Sudash of Class VII C won the first prize, Srihitha R of class III A bagged the second prize and Bibi Zainab of class VI C won the third prize.
Career guidance Program – For students of class 10
A career guidance program was conducted for the students of class X on 8th January 2024.
Mr. Mayur Goyal , founding Director of R V learning Hub and Mr. Shantha Kumar DM, Head of academic operations at R V Learning Hub guided the students of through the various opportunities available for them after grade X. R V Learning Hub is a novel institution by RVEI to provide coaching for competitive examinations like JEE Advanced, JEE Main, NEET, KCET, CA Foundation & CMA. Children were made aware that RV Learning Hub is currently running integrated coaching at NMKRV, SSMRV PU College, RV PU College at DPS South & DPS North.
All doubts of the students, related to careers, subjects and choice of colleges were cleared by the speakers.
SOF-International General Knowledge Olympiad 2023-24
The following students participated in the SOF-International General Knowledge Olympiad 2023-24 and won gold medals of excellence for themselves and laurels for the school
Aarush K, Jeevika K Vanegaon and Nabha R of class II; Abhinav Bhupal, Vivaan M Patil and Aryanraj N of class III; Shubhojeet Ghosh, Vaibhav Rao Nandikolla, Sai Sakshin of class IV, Manant H Lunkad, Rishab G Kanakagiri and Mohammed Abid of class V and Pradhyumna P Guha of class VI.
Ms. Vidyavathi N B was awarded a certificate of appreciation in acknowledgement of her initiative, commitment and valuable contribution towards conduct of the SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad 2023- 24 as SOF IGKO Incharge. during September – October 2023.
10th National Karate Championship 2024
Prisha P B of class IX Participated in the 10th National Karate Championship 2024, conducted by AVR Institution & Shitoryu Karate DO (R) at Srivari Convention hall, Bangalore and bagged the second position in Girls Kumite event.
18th Karnataka State Level Prodigy Plus Competition – (Abacus)
Master. Rohan V Kannu of class VI has secured third runner up position in Advance 1 during 18th Karnataka State Level Prodigy Plus Competition -(Abacus) held on 5th November 2023 at Nandi Link Grounds , Bengaluru.
SOF-International EnglishOlympiad 2023-24
The following students participated in the SOF-International English Olympiad 2023-24 and won gold medals of excellence for themselves and laurels for the school
Nabha R of class II, Abhinav Bhupal, Arjit Chand K , Parinya Prashanth of class III, Khadija fathima of class IV, Lekith B of class V. Aadhya Arvind Rao, Svasti S Gupta and Yashika K of class VI.
Ms. Reshma Khanum was awarded a certificate of appreciation in acknowledgement of her initiative, commitment and valuable contribution towards conduct of the SOF International English Olympiad 2023- 24, held during September – November 2023 as SOF IEO Incharge.
Ranking of NCC Cadets
20 NCC cadets from RV Public School attended the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) held at Airforce Station Jalahalli, Bangalore from 13th September to 22nd September 2023.
Students trained in self defense, parade, drill, aircraft simulator, parts of an aircraft, cyber crime, health care and weapon training. Cadets participated in competitions like drill competition, athletics, essay writing, debate, throwball, football, volleyball and tug-of-war. They also participated in cultural activities like dance and drama. Students learnt a very important lesson of teamwork – ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE.
The cadets were given Ranks according to their duties and responsibilities allocated to them during the camp and parade.
Cadet Sihi Pramod, Cadet Prakash Patel, Cadet Inder Singh, and Cadet Shreya Sony were ranked as Leading Flight Cadet.
Cadet Shreevalli S and Cadet Syed Adeeb were ranked as Cadet Corporal.
Cadet Yashitha M was ranked as Flight Sergeant.
