Birthday pf Pingali Venkayya Classes 3&4

The birth anniversary of freedom fighter Pingali Venkayya was celebrated on 2nd August. Shri. Pingali Venkayya, a freedom fighter and the designer of the flag on which the Indian national flag was based was born on this day in 1876, near Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

Shri. Venkayya’s design for the National Flag was finally approved by Mahatma Gandhi in a Congress meeting in Vijayawada in 1921.

At R.V. Public School students of Class 3 spoke on the freedom fighter. They shared the events from Shri. Venkayya’s life that inspired him to design our national flag. Chahith, Chirayu, Zunaira, Keertana , Anvi Patel, Mananth Lunkad, Dhanush  Kumar and Kulakarni Madhurima. Dhanush Kumar  spoke and gave a big salute to him.

 Vaibhav Vyas of 4A spoke about the flag man by presenting a PPT. Harshitha, Yashika, Mohith and Sutheertha also spoke about his place of birth and how he designed the national flag. They spoke about the man behind the national flag on his birth anniversary. The students from other sections spoke of the great legend. It was a memorable tribute given to the freedom fighter.
