Hiroshima Day – 6th August 2021

Class 7

Hiroshima Day is observed on 6th August every year. This day is observed to promote peace politics and raise awareness of the effects of the bomb attack on Hiroshima. Hiroshima was attacked by an atomic weapon that killed thousands of lives instantly on August 6, 1945.  Hiroshima Day 2021 marked the 76th anniversary of the nuclear explosion.

This day was observed in R.V. Public school. Students gave speeches. They spoke about the after effects of the explosion and the powerful recovery of the city through the tireless efforts of its predecessors.

Suhasini of 7A gave a speech. Pratik Simha of 7B presented a PPT which was quite informative. Shrinidhi of 7C shared a picture of Hiroshima city. Shreyash, Niharika and Bhrithi of 7C gave speeches on Hiroshima Day.

Class 8

The 76th anniversary of the atomic bombing of the Japanese city of Hiroshima by the US forces was marked on 6th August 2021, also called as Hiroshima Day.  The students of class 8 of RV Public School observed the day to promote peace around the world.

Yogeshwari of class 8A and Riddhi A Bafana of class 8B gave a detailed presentation on the history, reasons, how the bombing was carried out and the aftermath of the bombing. They also emphasized on the truth “There is no life in war and life exists only in peace”.

Class 9

The students of class 9B observed Hiroshima Day on 6th August. The importance of the day was read by Adithya Shenoy and Nishchal spoke about how nuclear weapons should not be used.
