First Day of School- 26th May 2025

RV Public School reopened after summer break on 26th May 2025for the students of classes III to X. The school and the classrooms were decorated to welcome the students. The Students were welcomed by the Principal, Mrs. Lakshmi Sridhar during the morning assembly. She advised the students to start on a positive note with zeal and enthusiasm and hoped that the students had a relaxed vacation and were recharged and ready to start a new school year. She wished all the students a very best for the new school year. 

The nursery section of the school reopened on 5th June 2025 for the students. The students were welcomed with colourful cartoons.

Environment Day 2025

In celebration of World Environment Day, the school organized a series of engaging and educational activities to instil environmental awareness and responsibility among students. 

A short skit was performed by students of Classes VII and VIII, highlighting the harmful effects of plastic pollution and promoting sustainable habits. 

After the assembly, students from Classes IX and  X participated in a guided nature walk with Mr. Vittal Vijayakumar in Lal Bagh. 

Mr. Vijay is a Senior Management Professional with close to 3 decades of experience in Global delivery of services and Operations management in IT Industry. In addition to his profession, Vijay is also a Leadership trainer and a motivational speaker. He conducts high impact programmes on Leadership and Personal Development to improve productivity and effectiveness during his free time. He is an excellent storyteller and passionate speaker which makes his seminars and workshops very interesting, energetic and powerful. This helps people to be completely engaged and derive value from his training sessions. Equipped with notebooks and observation sheets, students observed various plants, trees, insects, and birds. Mr. Vijay shared interesting facts about local flora and fauna, encouraging students to connect with nature and understand biodiversity. The walk provided a hands-on experience and helped students appreciate the importance of preserving natural habitats. 

Faariha, the poet who turns feelings into verses and silence into song.

Faariha Ahmed of class X was awarded the certificate of publication for being the co -author of the Anthology titled ‘Echoes of Earth: A Call to Protect Our Planet”, Published by “Poetic Essence Publications”

Faculty Development Workshops – May 2025

A Faculty Development Programme covering various aspects of the teaching learning process was conducted from 20th May 2025 to 24rd May 2025 at R.V. Public School. On 20th  May and 21st May, Dr. Usha Vasthare, a renowned neuroscientist and founder of Yogakshema Rehabilitation and Wellness Center guided the teachers on  “Evolve a New You through Stress”. In attendance were the teachers from R V Girls School, 

R V School   and Sri Maruthi Educational Trust.

On 22nd May and 23rd May 2025, Mr. Venkata Subba Rao V, Director, Smart Cerebrum Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Alka Kinra Managing Director, Smart Cerebrum Pvt. Ltd,                   trained the faculty members on how to convert Experience to Experiential Learning. 

On 24th May 2025, a skill development workshop about “The Remaining 3 C’s of the 21st Century Skill Development”  was conducted by Mr. Anansh Prasad, Founder and managing Director of Skillsphere Education.

A workshop on First Aid was conducted for the faculty members on 26th May 2025 by Dr. Swetha from Address Heath. The teachers were given an insight about the various conditions which can arise in school and outside and the correct first aid to be administered. The teachers were also given training in the correct administration of  CPR. 

Yoga: A Journey to Health and Harmony

The International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence  on 21st June  The event aimed to raise awareness about the ancient Indian practice of yoga and its holistic benefits for body, mind, and spirit.

The program commenced with a brief introduction on the significance of the day. Students from various classes actively participated in a well-organized yoga session. They performed asanas focusing on posture, breathing, and mindfulness. Students of grades VII and VIII performed rhythmic yoga. The celebration concluded with a collective meditation session, filling the atmosphere with calm and positive energy. 

Spelling Stars of RV Public school

Nihit Bhojak of class V, Jashank N of class IV, Hemanth K of class VIII, Abhimanyu G of class V, Melvin Vivaan Paul of class II, Apraameya of class IX, Aadhya Arvind Rao of class VII and Saravanan H of class IX were selected for the National Level Spell Bee competition as they had secured top 25 ranks in the state level spell bee competition.

Parents Orientation

The Parents’ Orientation Programme for the academic year 2025–26 was successfully conducted  on 31st May 2025 for the parents of the children studying in classes Nursery to grade II, on 6th June 2025 for the parents of students studying in grade III to V, on 12th Jun 2025 for the parents of students studying in grades VI,VII &VIII and  on 14th June 2025 for the parents of students studying in grades IX &X, with the objective of building a strong partnership between parents and the school in nurturing students’ holistic development. Speakers like Dr. Na Someshwar (Quiz master of Thatt antha heli) and medical professionals from Aster RV hospital addressed the parents which was both insightful and appreciated by the parents. 

ABC program for the NCC cadets

Active Bleeding Control program was conducted by the  medical professionals of  Aster RV  Hospital for the NCC cadets of the school. The cadets were briefed about first aid and CPR techniques.

CISCE Zonal Carrom Competition

The CISCE Zonal Carrom Tournament was successfully hosted by RV Public School  on 25th June 2025, with enthusiastic participation from ICSE  schools across Zone 3. The event witnessed high levels of sportsmanship, focus, and strategic gameplay from students representing various age categories.

The welcome address was delivered by Mrs,Lakshmi Sridhar, Principal RV Public School emphasizing the role of indoor games like carrom in developing precision, patience, and critical thinking.

Participants took part in the competition, competing in the Under-14 and  Under-17 categories, both for boys and girls. The matches were conducted  under the supervision of official CISCE referees, ensuring fair play and adherence to tournament rules.

The event was a display of not only excellent gameplay but also camaraderie among students. The hosting school ensured seamless organization, from timely scheduling of matches to arrangements for refreshments and hospitality.

Literary Luminaries

Aadhya Arvind Rao of class VIII participated in the zonal level declamation competition in the sub-junior category of Father Hess Literary Competition on 21st June 2025 and won the first prize. She will now be representing the school in the regional level.

Scribes of Excellence 

Kirtan Roshan Hegde, Krishank P M and Shreeja Padasalgi of class I, Riddhisri Dhruthi R and Nishi Bohra of class II, Jia Khatri of class III, Dhruvn Kumar M H and Ezhil K of class IV, Nirmayi Venkatesh Murthy of class V,  Vinodhini B and Mohammed Abid of class VI, Manisha S of class VII and Avinna Pramot of class IX were qualified for the state cum National level of Handwriting Olympiad  conducted by Wiz Extra school.   

The Launch of a Literary Star 

It was a proud and memorable moment for the entire school community as Samarth U Nandagudi , a talented and imaginative student of Grade VIII, unveiled his book titled “Playful Days” on 12th June 2025 . Mrs. Lakshmi Sridhar, Principal Rva Public School, applauded the young author’s creativity, discipline, and passion for storytelling and encouraged all students to pursue their interests with sincerity and determination.
